Mac Ling is an executive coach, public speaker, and the founder of Coaching Collective. His coaching style combines his strong business acumen with a deep understanding of human motivation and psychology, enabling him to work successfully with business leaders from all levels, industries, and sectors.   

 

At the core of Mac’s coaching style is a balance of strong empathetic listening skills with an analytical critical thinking mindset that creates deep clarity around the challenges clients seek to overcome.  Mac’s zone of genius lies in working with leaders experiencing transition moments and working with them to envision, develop, and adopt the new mindsets that enable them success in their new roles. 

 

In the early part of his career, Mac spent six years in sales engineering and implementation consultant roles with a number of software and IT services companies in Silicon Valley.  After completing his MBA, Mac held general management roles at Sprint Corporation and Boost Mobile. Mac is also an eclectic entrepreneur and has launched seven ventures since 2001.

 

Mac is a certified Advanced Master Coach, and an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC). He is also certified in the Hogan Assessments and as a Level 1 Enneagram Practitioner. 

 

Mac holds a B.S. in Cognitive Science and an M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.

Through all his work, Mac has a strong interest in understanding the depths of human motivation, how systems thrive and decline, and how organisational culture is formed and maintained.  He is also a father to two young boys and is passionate about investing in men’s mental health initiatives.
